Forget the pizza... 4/19/2006

The pizza at Brickhouse is unusually unsatisfying. They make the pizza with about an inch of sauce between where the crust ends and the cheese begins. I don't know if they are too chintzy to fill the cheese out to the crust like most places or if this is some kind of "style" they are using. Either way, it sucks. The sauce is a little too tangy as well. On the other hand, they have decent entrées. I like to stop by and get the Brickhouse salad. It's greens with cucumbers, shredded mozzarella, olives, and marinated, diced tomatoes. The dressing is mixed in. It's almost like having a brucschetta salad. YUM!!!!! It comes with bread and the cost is only $5.50 -- unheard of for such a great portion. So if you want an Italian meal you should try this place. If you want some pizza, you should stay away. more
