When I am giving a gift for a loved one, I do like to splurge on the packaging. The Hallmark store in Vails Gate/New Windsor, NY always has a varied selection of bags that meet my needs.
The thing I love about the stores it that they always have a full selection in stock, not hit or miss like some dollar stores. The quality of the bags is the highest around, so whomever receives my gift knows he or she can reuse that bag (a good reason to splurge on a gift bag, in my opinion). They also have every size imaginable, from tiny bags to fit a small jewelry box to huge sacks to fit bigger baby or wedding gifts.
The best bag, by far, I've bought there is the one with the cat peering into the fishbowl, the cat having googly eyes pasted on. This made for a hysterically funny gift for a cat-lover and was worth the money for the laughs.
