I try to avoid going to the Portage 9 as much as possible. They charge $8.50 for an evening movie, and the price raises about a quarter each year. For $8.50, I would expect a movie with consistent sound quality or at least stadium seating so I could even see what was going on. For the most part, the Portage 9 provides neither. I have been to one show in the past year, and it was a Midnight movie, because they knock two bucks off of the ticket price.
