In our neighborhood we are lucky to have a choice of several grocery stores within just a few minutes of our house. Haggen is one of them. Haggen is a bit more expensive than some of the other grocery chains out there, but they also have more "specialty" type items, that I have a hard time finding elsewhere. The thing I love most about Haggen is their produce. They really take a lot of pride in their selection and presentation. I'm extremely picky about my vegetables and fruits, and I've never been disappointed at Haggen. Unlike other stores that seem to just pile the new shipment on top of the old, Haggen seems to do a full cleaning each time a shipment comes in. I've also seen them checking out their oranges, lettuce and tomatoes as closely as I do, which makes me feel like they really care what they are presenting to their customers. If they weren't more expensive than some of the other stores in the area, I would probably shop there all the time, as the grocery store has a nice feel and they layout is great.
