If you are ever in Boone, you must stop in at Espresso News. They roast their own beans on site, and the coffee is delicious. In the mornings they also have freshly baked pastries and muffins. In the back of the store and upstairs, there is a bookstore, which is fun to browse through. The best part of the coffee shop is the architecture of the building. It used to be a car dealership years and years ago, back during the Depression and WWII, I believe.
