The Fisher Building is a beautiful building, and a little odd to have a shop like City Knits in there, but it's not a mistake! It's a lovely little yarn shop with beautiful yarns of all varieties. It's small, yes, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in atmosphere. The employees are kind and helpful, and probably won't make you feel as uncomfortable or out-of-place as at other, more suburban knitting shops. The array of yarns is lovely to look at, and you can't ever go in a yarn shop without looking at the clearance racks - it's blasphemy! The prices are pretty much on par with other yarn retailers, but a trip out here is worth it for a couple of reasons: a knowledgeable, friendly staff; the buildling itself; and the sophisticated urban feel!
