I love coming off the hustle and bustle of Newbury Street into the dim calm of the Gargoyle store. The owner does and sells reproductions of what the sign says: gargoyles, grotesques and chimeras. If you are disturbed by life-size replicas of the pieta, or gravestone carvings,you may not enjoy it here. The scale runs from very small to unsettlingly large here and the prices likewise. The place inside feels like a combination church, mausoleum and funeral home - and I mean that in a good way. Owner will gladly answer questions.
