Being that Ashland is a town full of storytellers, it goes without saying that we would have tales of local ghosts and one of my favorites involves the Peerless Hotel.
The ghosts who live here have good taste anyway.
The hotel was once a boarding house for railroad workers and was restored into a fine place that is now on the National Registry for Historic Places. You can still see the old coca-cola ad painted on the side of the building and if you stand outside late at night you just might hear the whistle of a train.
I can't afford to eat here and I've never spent the night, but if I did I would request room 3.
