The absolutely best place to have a haircut if you are curly girl would be an Ouidad certified salon. The Las Olas Beauty Salon is one of these. I've seen some absolutely amazing work done on curls here. All of the stylists,are doing amazing stuff. I can guarantee you'll walk out truly happy. I've had cuts done by Yulia and Alberto and they are both great - friendly and professional. It is worth the 2000 miles round trip to see them... (Well, I'll admit, I have never managed to go to Ft. Lauderdale just for the cut, but it sounds great, doesn't it?)
The salon offers a wide range of services for your hair, nails, face and beauty as well as a nice retail section. There is parking available behind the salon and they are even open on Sundays!
