Aunt Sonya's was a Saturday morning tradition in Champaign, Illinois. Aunt Sonya's was the premiere breakfast place before Illinois football games. Unfortunately, Aunt Sonya's met the wrecking ball this past year. I can no longer have my favorite sausage and mushroom omelette. I can no longer have the sweet as sugar service. I am sure another restaurant will pop up on the site with the new hotel, but there will never be another Aunt Sonya's.
