When a popular Mexican chain restaurant moved in down the street from Zumba, some wondered if this small Royal Oak gem would be over powered by its competitors commercial appeal. Yet, thanks to its friendly staff and delicious authentic Mexican food, Zumba continues to thrive. The food is prepared fresh on a grill behind the counter. The salsa bar gives patrons the freedom to load up on their favorite salsas without additional charge. Zumba’s only two flaws: limited parking and sparse, cramped seating inside. Outdoor seating in the summer months helps alleviate some of the congestion inside. None-the-less, the semi-small yet delicious menu has managed to capture the hearts of Royal Oak residence and have generated quite a loyal, local following.
