I have only been to the Javits for the auto show, but feel like I have been there countless times after listening to all of my friends rant about taking the LSAT there. Depending on the event hosted at the Javits, the environment will change greatly (like the fact that I couldn't get into Comic Con due to space constraints).
Plan ahead. The Javits is far west. You don't want to be turned away or get caught in a long line (they happen frequently for some of the more popular events) because of poor transportation planning. Visit the website and see if the convention you are going to is offering transportation from Penn, Grand Central or the Port Authority (it happens sometimes).
Come with friends. It is a big lonely place if you are by yourself. Eat before you go there or bring a snack.
