Acoustic Cafe is a great, casual lunch spot conveniently located in downtown Eau Claire. The menu is fairly limited -- featuring a few hoagies, pitas and soups -- but what it lacks in variety it more than makes up for in flavor. I'd especially recommend the tomato-basil hummus pita and the Wisconsin beer cheese soup (though not necessarily together). Acoustic Cafe also has a full range of freshly brewed specialty coffee drinks and ice cream. It has a genuine, funky atmosphere, which makes it a perfect hangout or study spot. Live music and poetry readings in the evenings make Acoustic one of Eau Claire's true gems.
