Extremely cheap "Italian" food 2/17/2006

While not being the most authentic of restaurants, Avanti's is a local favorite for their pizza bread ($2.50 for a huge serving, an extra fifteen cents or so for pepperoni), amazingly sweet bread, and the all-time favorite of Peorians and Bradley students, their Gondolas (pronounced "gon-DOLE-ah," trust me). They have the usual portions of tortellini, ravioli, etcetera, but the Gondolas and the pizza bread are where they stand out most. My one gripe is that they're not 24/hr, they close around 10 I believe. more
