Shawn's Coffee Gourmet and Deli is located on the corner of Somonauk and Elm Street. While there is a selection of delicious coffee flavors available both brewed and as beans to take home, there are many more things to keep you coming back. Shawn's offers specials everyday. My favorites are Mondays when bagels are on special and Thursdays when you can get a large cookie for a quarter. There are many flavors of bagels and cream cheese. There are sandwich suggestions or you can create your own and watch as it is being prepared. They use only lean cuts of meat. Shawn's usually offers two types of soup everyday. The staff is friendly and the service is quick whether you are eating in or taking out. They will even cater a party for you. Many of the tables at Shawn's are high which is a problem for shorter people, but there are some shorter tables and there are tables outside when the weather is nice. If you want to give yourself a treat, try Shawn's.
