Unless you're looking for that booth in the back in the corner in the dark, as Flip Wilson used to say, Cafe Deluxe is a great place for a date. The food is great...I've been there for brunch and love the omelet with salmon. It's got one of those diverse sorts of menus where you can come with a large group, and everyone will find someone on the menu that they like. It's somewhat upscale, but not so pricey that it will empty your wallet. Unfortunately, for some, Cafe Deluxe is pretty popular, so you may have to wait for a table -- but usually not more than a few minutes. If you can't wait, you can always eat at the bar.
