Yes, I know they are a small chain, but nontheless, Mellow Mushroom is still a chain. Founded in Athens, GA, its rapid spread across the Atlanta area has scared me it would become the churn shop like many good pizza joints of days gone by. But no worries! They have stayed true to their original, spring water crust pizza dough and loads of unusual toppings. They have fabulous sandwiches, their take-out is always ready on time. Thier avocado sandwich is absolutely to die for!Their service staff is friendly, but casual at best, inattentive at worst. Still, it's my favorite place to eat pizza in Douglasville.
