The management isn't very good.
They have large one and two bedrooms available, with laundry on the first floor, and a communal pool. All apartments have a dishwasher, and the kitchens are big enough that you could have a small eat in table.
I say that the management isn't very good because one Saturday, my husband and I woke up to wasps buzzing in our bedroom. They made a nest in the buildings wall and ended up eating through it.
When I call the maintenance guy, I was told I would have to wait for the GM. I called the office when it opened (a few hours later), and was told that the GM would be in in about an hour and would call us.
After 1.5 hours and no call, my husband made his way down to the office. The GM's father was minding the desk (he lives in the complex), and he told my husband that she wasn't there yet. He then proceeded to "reprimand" my husband saying, "You know, it would have been nice to have known about this problem on Thursday. We had a guy out spraying then" --as if my husband and I didn't call as soon as we knew about the problem!
When the GM finally arrived (another hour later, I swear she was rarely ever in the office!), she told my husband she couldn't do anything till Monday, that no one would come out. When my husband asked her what we were to do until then (as I am very allergic to wasps), we were told to “camp out” in our living room. My husband asked her if she would refund a portion of our rent, as we wouldn’t be able to utilize our bedroom for 2 days. (There were literally 80 wasps flying around our room!) She then said, “This really isn’t my problem. It’s an act of god.”
By law, it doesn’t fall under the “act of god” clause.
In any case, I ended up calling her GM and getting them involved. She immediately changed her tune, but we still had to find HER someone to come out and spray.
I lived there 4 years and I found that she would usually try to argue her way out of doing her job if she could.
A great place to live as long as you don’t need anything from the office.
