For a feeling of old country style eating, Cracker Barrel is a great restaurant and store. Of course with old style does come slow cooking, it did take a bit to get our food. There were many breakfast choices, so you should be able to find something you like. I had the sourdough french toast, and would recommend it. I was so full I couldn't even finish it.
And after you eat you can visit the store for old "general store style" fare!! We did not buy anything but I did see some Coke items I would like.
