My boyfriend and I stopped into Advance Uniform the other day- I had been admiring the bleak-looking sign and oddly-mannequined display case for quite some time. Inside was a cool array of uniforms, which made me nervous when I realized that my boyfriend and I could leave there broke but looking exactly like Chicago Cops, no question about it. Guns and badges and everything....still, it made it a bit more exciting...it's weird to see a place like this in the ever-trendifying south loop, but I like it that way!
