In the past, I had never lost more than 4 pounds doing anything. I joined a gym, took yoga, and had a personal trainer. I have lost 10 pounds doing kickboxing and I feel a lot better about myself.
The first few classes are still kind of difficult and I felt funny. I actually didn't join the actual gym until after my third class. In retrospect, that was stupid and it actually cost me a little more money, but I was not an exercise person.
However, the staff was very patient with me and encouraged and corrected me. After two weeks, I started to get my groove. Then I started to see the differences. They warned me about the number on the scale, and I also saw the difference in my clothing and in the mirror. Now I have never felt so comfortable about my body.
