This is a grand old building that is a worthy destination point if you are visiting Chicago. If you are a local, you are familiar with this place.
It used to be the main public library, and I have been coming here since I was a kid. Then I came to take out books, but I never tire of marveling at the craftsmanship and art that went into this building.
It has incredible mosaic tile walls, and the most amazing Tiffany glass in the auditorium on the third floor. It has the world biggest Tiffany chandelier and it is a sight to behold.
They still hold free noon concerts in this space and it is worth coming by to absorb some good vibes.
There is always an art exhibit or two to visit, and other wonders to behold.
