Malt-N-Burger has been around town as long as I have and the policy of customer satisfaction has never changed, even though the owners have changed over the years.
Malt-n-Burger was original a drive in burger place, offering some of the best food in town as early as the late 1960's, but they were probably around before that. The hamburgers and poboys, as well as all the hot food selections are always served hot and fresh, each order made as the orders are placed.
Thier chicken is freshly battered, floured, and fried daily for lunch orders, then after lunch, chicken orders are a 30 minute wait as the chicken is fried fresh.
The banana splits and shakes are to die for and resonably priced compared to the quality of food recieved. The owners are out to please the customers and are only satisfied if the customers come back for more. It's a reflection on the business, how the business is run, and the workers there.
So if you are ever in Thibodaux, I highly recommend you stopping on by Malt-N-Burger for your blast from the past. I recommend the fried chicken, banana splits, and bottle tops which are deep fried halapeno peppers.
