The zoo isn't anything that great. It isn't worth traveling to Peoria to go to it but if you live in the area and need some place to take your kids, you will have fun. During the summer they also run children movies for free under the stars so kids always seems to love that and you really can't beat the price. The have a nice selection of animals for such a small market zoo but it still isn't the greatest thing. If you have nothing going on and are looking tog et out of the house then I suggest it but I wouldn't plan anything around it.
