Santa Ana zoo is a great place to take the kids and kill some time. Going during the week gives you an easier time with their parking, which is limited, but free. The zoo has lots of monkeys. Lots. I love animals, but monkeys might are pretty low on my list....they scare me. :) But keeping the kids in mind, they usually love them and have fun seeing all the different species. They also have a barn area, with barnyard animals, a reptile section, birds and more. When you need a little rest, take them to the playground area where they can wear themselves out on a couple jungle gyms, swings and slides. They also have a snack bar and gift shop. Great place to go especially if your kids love animals and you dont want to spend your entire day at LA zoo or San Diego zoo.
