Lakewatch Inn is a really nice facility in Ithaca that caters to many fraternity and sorority formals. I have been to it several times and have always enjoyed myself. The Inn itself is realy nice, with a gorgeous view that is a great backdrop against which to take pictures. They have two floors and can also serve alcohol. The dance floor is in the middle and quite spaceous. I found the food to be very good and there was a nice variety every time that I went. I think this place is a bit overdone because too many formals are held here. Given that Ithaca is "centrally isolated", there aren't too many other places, but I would check out Celebrations and some other places to try and be a bit different.
