The Farnsworth House prides itself on being a bit quirky and a bit of fun. Most of the time you will see re-enactors of the Civil War in their period clothing, sitting around the place having a beer or a snack. Often they will host live music, particularly in the summer when the tourists are at their peak. The food is very good. The meatloaf is my favorite, hands down, but a local specialty is the game (you know, like venison, etc.) pot pie. Folks come from miles around to try it.
