I don't know very much about cars, so finding a good mechanic is very important. I took my Toyota in to Dan's Foreign Auto twice and was very disappointed.
First of all, Dan demands that I leave my car with him all day so he can check it at his leisure. This is very inconvenient for me. But furthermore, the problem didn't get fixed. I had some vibration occuring and he suggested it might possibly be a worn tire. What I found out when I took it elsewhere was that all it really needed was a wheel balance.
Dan was personable and willing to explain, but since he was so wrong on something as simple as a wheel balance, I am never going to take my car back to him.
