A beautiful building, respectable and diverse collection of art, good travelling exhibits... and all for free. What more could you want? St. Louis is lucky to have such a treasure. If you have time on a second or third visit don't forget the basement level. There are a lot of interesting and unusual items there: folk art, ethnic art, furniture, glasswork. Each work reveals so much about its culture.
