Or maybe they compared notes with other people who had similar or worse experiences. I don't want to be mean-spirited, but there's an extraordinary lack of guidance for beginners in this city. Social dancing can be very complex, and no one wants to waste time and money on crappy classes - especially in this economy.
There are far better salsa teachers in Seattle, and it does pay to ask other dancers about their experiences. Just make sure the people you ask are more mature than "Guest" and ask several people, lest you're misguided by a poor instructor's disciples (e.g. "Guest") or members of some other hostile clique...there is a lot of politics out there.
