ALthough it's no San Diego, the atascadero zoo has a lot of benefits, and you're not investing the normal $20 or more that it can cost to get into the larger zoos. It's nothing overly extravagent, but a really nice place to visit with little kids on the weekend when you want to get out of the house. Plus, it's right near the lake which is a fun place to walk around and take the dog for a walk. We really enjoy going here with the kids. It's not too crowded and has enough stimulation to keep them interested.
