I'm not saying that the windows are bad, by all accounts they look like top of line vinyl windows. The problem is that they are a high pressure sales company that charges an exorbitant price for them. Buying windows from them is akin to buying a vacuum cleaner from a door to door sales man. You may get a good vacuum, but was it really worth $2000 dollars, and where the sales man pockets half of that? You can get good energy star vinyl windows with lifetime guarantees for most houses for less than 10 grand (maybe a lot less) but with Penguin, you will pay 40-50 grand. There is no way these are worth that much, and no way they will ever pay for themselves, do the math. It'd take 50 years for these to pay for themselves. And if you have that kind of money to spend on windows, wouldn't you go with a all wood designer window from a company like Andersen or Pella? I knew pretty quick that these guys are just a big scam when we also quoted that they could add a Corrian bottom to a Garden window for just $700 dollars more. Really! is that all. A piece of Corrian for about $200 dollars a sf. Wow what a deal, I can just imagine what the over all markup they have for theses over priced windows. Stay away, and save a lot of money.
