This historic home and farm complex is a great place to spend a little time learning about life in the 1800's. Located right off a main road, it is easy to get to, though be sure to check their hours. Historians are often available, and the Plantation does offer periodic events throughout the year, including craft days, re-enactments, and character plays about historic figures. This is nice place to visit for an hour or two. Very small children will likely get bored, but older elementary kids seem to like it.
