HQ Books seem to me to be almost an anomaly in today’s world – an independent used book store that has been around more than six months without calling it quits! In the era of Amazon, I think it’s getting harder and harder to do that. HQ Books appears to be successful, though, and I think it is because they carry mainly very recently released paperbacks. So, if you’re looking for some collector’s item that you remember your Grandmother reading to you as a child, this is the wrong place to go. However, if you wan something that you can read on the plane and then trade in for another quick read, this is the spot. You’re likely to find the new release you’re looking for; they’ve got a pretty good selection. The place is also pretty clean and bright, another unusual trait among used book stores!
