Cake Box Bakery has relocated and I love it. I liked their cookies when they were in their old location, but I have to admit it was a bit hole-in-the-wall-ish. Now they have an adorable storefront with an additional entry in the rear (also additional parking behind the store for those of you afraid of parallel parking). The new space allows for seating in a quaint atmosphere complete with fireplace (okay, it's an electric one, but still nice ambiance) and they've expanded their menu. They now have soups, salads and sandwiches along with all of their yummy sweet treats. I have not tried any of the non-sweet items since I was surprised to find these new additions and my sweet tooth was doing the ordering. As far as their baked goods go, I absolutely love their cookies. They usually have the cookies in decorated fun shapes. The day I went in they had flowers, ghosts and a White Sox baseball (this is during the world series) cookie. I also had a glazed pretzel donut which I am craving now. And of course they have cakes, usually there are some premade or you can preorder. I have never been disappointed with the baked goods at Cake Box and now that they've moved, their location is just as sweet as their treats. more
