When I locked myself out of my apartment, I had 2 choices, go up through the fire escape and break the window to get in or call a locksmith. I ended up calling a locksmith. I figured that would be less of a pita than having to explain to the super why I needed a new window. But the service was fast and they were here in about an hour. I guess it was a small price to pay for a stupid mistake. But hey, I'm not perfect!
