Knowing what I know now about the puppies from pet stores coming from puppy mills, I would never buy from ANY pet store again. However, I purchased my puppy from Shake A Paw and it was a HORRIBLE experience. I brought my puppy to the vet the next day and was told that the dog had serious problems and was "unfit for sale." Under the state laws, I could return the puppy for a full refund, but it was already part of my family. I wrote to the owner and he just made excuses. He obviously doesn't care about the welfare of the animals he sells. The store is filthy and smells terrible. Many of the animals are in too small cages and sitting in their feces. The staff is young and not knowledgeable at all. It breaks my heart anytime I hear that someone else gave them their business. Find a good breeder to purchase a good dog from - save yourself the heartbreak.
