The Abuse Council of Shelby gets my highest rating...5 stars. They are the ones to go to for help if you are being abused or know someone who is. That can be physical or verbal, for men as well as women. They help provide resources and shelter for those in need. I have first hand witnessed activities and things they do. They really should be applauded for everything they do for the community and to those who need help. Sometimes the Star runs articles about them, and I am always amazed at how much support they provide. Keep their number handy. You may need it sometime for yourself, a friend, a relative, etc.
