I was on my way out the door for work and when I tried to open the garage door, it only went up 2 inches, and then shut. Like an idiot I did it again and again. I inspected the door and realized the torsion spring snapped in 2, probably over night. I thought I could lift open the garage door, after all, before I got the automatic opener, that's how we got in and out of the garage. But I didn't know how much the torsion spring helps with lifting open that surprisingly heavy door! So I got to work and started searching for garage door repairs. I found this garage door repair company and a few others. I called them...they can send someone out to fix it in 2 hours. I got a quick quote and selected them. The garage door repairman called me at 11:50am and said he was going to be late, but was very close. He arrived and fixed it before 1pm.Their service is very QUICK. Garage door was working perfectly less than a day after it broke. The spring has a LOT of energy loaded into it...so if you mess up, you could kill yourself. I'll gladly pay $200 to maintain an unimpeded face.
