I just got dish today after having Direct TV for more than 2 years. Direct TV was just WAY too expensive for me. My bill was $95.00 a month. I called and asked for a custom package and they refused. I switched and all of a sudden they called 10 times in one day offering me deals. In the end, after researching and asking my friends, Dish has better lower grade packages than Direct TV. If you want a good solid picture with a good package at a reasonable price, go with dish. I am only paying $84.99 per month compared to $95 from DTV. But I think DTV lowered their prices as well. Anyway, Dish is the one for me.
