I have had ADT monitored since I purchased my home 7 years ago. It was professionally installed.Yesterday house was broken into around 4:30 in the afternoon, the alarm went off, ADT called the house phone and also called me on my cell phone. They dispatched my local Toronto police. The thieves were scared off by the alarm or the quick response of the phone call from ADT and they left.
