Art That is an Interpretation of Florida's History, Heritage or Environment 9/24/2005

Although it is closed for the summer, South Florida Community College's Museum of Florida Art and Culture (MOFAC) on the college campus is a fabulous place to spend an hour or two. It consists of three main sections - the library, exhibits and archeology. In the library, you can read about Florida's art tradition (the oldest in the New World), get tips on collecting art and/or visit their Florida bookstore. The exhibits include a guest artist exhibit and a fabulous collection of Highwaymen paintings. The archaeological area consists of exhibits from Highlands County and the Kissimmee Valley region. more
