Monterrey Mexican Restaurant's tacos are out of this world. They have the best tacos in any Mexican Restaurant in Shelby. I like going there for tacos, but they are not my Mexican Restaurant of choice in Shelby. The reason is I have never liked this place. It's really small, and I feel what keeps this place going is the small, very small bar. Although the taste is much better, the service is lacking. They are not very friendly either. It takes forever to get refills on soda or tea, and God forbid if you need refill on chips. I am giving thsi restaurant 3 stars.
