Zia's is a great place in downtown davis. It is close to the university and offers great outdoor seating. My favorite sandwich is the Viareggio which has the Turkey with cheese, pesto mayo, lettuce, and tomato all on a roll. They have a variety of different specialty sandwiches, but you can also customized your own. They also sell a lot of Italian foods and pasta there imported goods. Zia's also has a great selection of deli meat you can get cut fresh and deserts and appetizers.
The prices are okay, about what you would pay at safeway or Togos. It is a great place to have lunch with your friends or togo.
