Florida Hospital bills itself as "Your Hometown Hospital Since 1948" and they offer a full range of medical and surgical services - too many to list, in fact. I've found this hospital to be very good if one is an in-patient (they have all private rooms) or is having scheduled tests as an out-patient.
I feel their emergency room leaves much to be desired, however. On my too frequent visits there, I've been faced with long waits and inadequate care. In fact, my husband took me from a bed in the ER at Florida Hospital to Highlands Regional because he was disgusted with the long wait and the horrendous nurse.
