We enjoy this park but mainly go for the beach. You drive over the causeway to the island in the water. There is beach on all sides and an enormous parking lot in the middle.
During Spring Break you will see all the teenagers, with their vehicles, along the causeway.
This month our community is having a picnic at one of the shelter at Howard Park. You can reserve them ahead of time. There will be over 50 of us.
It is great for relaxing, walking, or being with friends. I always walk the water's edge and clock up 3 or 4 miles.
I normally leave the beach by mid-day as it starts to get crowded.
Once you get into Tarpon Springs there are several sign posts to this park.
