Civil War Reenactment 9/19/2005

I don't generally go to Roaring Camp except for their Civil War Reenactment which is every Memorial Day. It is fabulous to take young children too, it makes history really come alive for them. I would avoid taking very young children because the cannons can be extremely loud and the sight of people running around firing rifles might prove a little disturbing. For a weekend, Roaring Camp is turned into a full civil war camp with tents, a doctor's tent, a general store and other things. It is a great place to pick up some unique merchandise too, ranging from hairnets to a fully detailed Union or Confederate Soldier uniform. Definitely something not too miss! more
