When my oldest son was about 18 months old and not yet talking, our pediatrician recommended I take him to NIU Speech and Hearing for a hearing test. Of course, my son was too young to understand what was happening and was very scared, but the staff calmed him and quieted his fears. I'm so grateful that they made something frightening for my son a little easier on him.
