Sandia Peak Ski Area is a mere 30 minutes from downtown Albuquerque. It can be accessed by either the tram on the west side of the mountain or by driving on the east side. It is a good learners mountain with 3 different lifts. Good for a quick ski fix, but not great for a whole day of skiing.
