This place presumably has summer rollerblading events, but I haven't seen any. In winter, though, it's the favourite place for all the university students AND kids from the community, so yes, it can get pretty crowded once in a while. Colder winter evenings, though, are less popular, so it's even possible to be the only person on the rink! The staff are nice and won't close the rink on you. There's skates for rental, and you can sharpen your own for $5. At the beginning of the winter they also have "skate in your swimsuit" event. Amazingly, lots of people turn up for it! They look a bit cold, though :)
